New Toys

You should have seen the kids Saturday morning at the yard sale. Gazing longingly at the huge pile of toys being sold. Toys that have not been played with in MONTHS, mind you. They did a really good job about not fussing and whining, though, so rewarded them later on that afternoon. They were each allowed to pick out one new toy and one new book to replace the 75 or so (my playroom was starting to look RIDICULOUS!) that were sold. It was a system that worked pretty well, and we will probably try to repeat it every year or so.

Clara Beth chose a twin stroller
She was so cute. As soon as I got it put together, she said "I need get sumpin" and ran to the sunroom. When she came back, she had thrown her pocketbook over the handle and put diapers and baby toys in the stroller basket!
Collin and Mak putting their toys together...remote control Hummer and airplane

Mak was VERY PROUD of his first driver's license!
